Join us for Lanco FCU's 52nd Annual Meeting and a Movie!
Thursday, March 9 at Penn Cinema
Registration at 5:30; Meeting begins at 6:00
Please join us for Lanco FCU’s 52nd Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Penn Cinema in Lititz. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the business meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. All adults in attendance will be entered to win a $50 Penn Cinema gift card and $50 Mick’s All American Pub gift card.* Children will be entered to win “The LEGO Movie” on Blu-ray/Digital.*
Following the meeting, stick around for a showing of “The LEGO Batman Movie,” a comedic action-adventure the whole family is sure to enjoy.

Board Elections and Nominations:
Board elections will be held during the annual meeting. Members wishing to submit a nomination petition for an available board seat (a voluntary position) must do so by February 1, 2017. All petitions must be signed by 1% of Lanco FCU's membership and include biographical information. Petitions should be mailed to: Lanco FCU, Nominating Committee, 349 W Roseville Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601.
According to the credit union’s bylaws, nominations from the floor are not permitted unless sufficient nominations have not been made by the Nominating Committee or by petition.
The Nominating Committee submitted sufficient nominations to fill the vacancies this year:
Phyllis K. Peters
Phyllis Peters has been a member of Lanco FCU since 1999 and has served on the Lanco FCU Board of Directors since 2001. Phyllis is retired from Calvary Fellowship Homes as the Director of Human Resources, and she worked in the field of Human Resources for over 20 years. She was certified as a Professional in Human Resources and attended Franklin and Marshall College. In addition to her Board service, Phyllis volunteers with the Lancaster County Office of Aging and has served as Chair of Lanco FCU’s Supervisory Committee since 2009.
James “Jim” Brubaker
Jim Brubaker has been a member of Lanco FCU since 2014 and has served on the Lanco FCU Board of Directors since 2015. Jim has been with High Industries since 2011 as a Logistics Manager. Prior to High Industries, Jim was a terminal manager for J.B. Hunt. Jim holds a Masters of Business Administration from Elizabethtown College.
Dr. Freeman Chakara
Dr. Freeman Chakara has been a member of Lanco FCU since 2001 and has served on the Lanco FCU Board of Directors since 2011. Freeman received his doctorate from Widener University and owns Providence Behavioral Health, where he is a practicing Neuropsychologist. Additionally, Dr. Chakara has served as a professor at Lancaster Bible College for nearly 20 years and has authored several book chapters, articles and a psychology textbook.
*Prize winners will be randomly selected at the conclusion of the business meeting. Winner must be present at time of drawing; if not present, another winner will be selected. Lanco FCU employees, volunteers, and the family/household members of employees and volunteers are not eligible to enter the drawing.
